18 new dialysis centers will come up in Andhra Pradesh. Each center will have 10 dialysis machines. This is, no doubt, a big relief to patients seeking treatment by dialysis in the state. The central government has already sanctioned Rs. 22.47 crores for these centres. This was disclosed by AP health minister Kamineni Srinivas. These new centers will spread over 10 districts.
Surprisingly, number of patients undergoing dialysis has been rising in the state for some time now, because of various reasons. Jana Sena President Pawan Kalyan had visited severely affected areas of Uddanam region in Srikakulam and assured the patients all help from his party. After this, the government had announced more dialysis centers in North Coastal Andhra in general and Uddanam region in particular. The works for the new centers have started and this should be a big relief for patients undergoing dialysis in these areas.
