First hurdle over in TN political Uncertainty

Uncertainty on appointment of Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu was over after Sasikala loyalist E. Palaniswami was sworn in as New CM by the Governor C. Vidyasagar Rao. The governor gave newly appointed CM two weeks time to prove majority on the floor of the house. But, according to  Assembly secretary M P Jamaludeen, confidence motion would be initiated at 11 am on February 18.
Mr. Palaniswami has taken all considerations while inducting 30 ministers into his cabinet. Except K.A. Sengottaiyan, remaining had worked in Mr. Panneersevam’s cabinet. The CM also claimed that 124 MLA’s are supporting him.
Meanwhile, Sasikala elevation as the interim general secretary was challenged by the OPS group MP’s with Election Commission and alleged that it was not done in accordance with Constitution of the Party.
